Responsibilities

  • Implements new practices towards preservation of historic structures in Lockbourne

Municipal Records Commission

Responsibilities

  • Establishes schedule for records review, retention and disposal of records

  • Reviews applications for one- time disposal of obsolete records or any schedule of the records retention and disposition submitted by municipal offices

  • Sends application or schedule to the Ohio History Connection for its review

  • Advises on the budget and operations of the Village parks

  • Plans for short-term and long- term parks and recreation needs

  • Explores & provides input to Council on issues related to parks & recreation

  • Reviews and recommends rules & regulations and fees for park use

  • Promotes a wide range of programs for use

Planning Commission
(Ohio Revised Code Section 713.01)

Responsibilities

  • Develops long-term, comprehensive plan, including land use and zoning

  • Designs plans and maps of the whole, or part, of the Village of Lockbourne

  • Controls the structure and location of buildings, and creates zones of varying property taxes

  • Reviews new construction plans

  • Makes assessment of safety issues within village, discovers unsafe conditions and practices and determines solutions

  • Drafts safety policies and makes recommendations on their adoption to village council

  • Works with Franklin County Sheriff’s Department

  • Establishes and manages village emergency alert system

  • Establishes safety polices for all village events

  • Establishes and executes emergency disaster plans
