Christie Ward
Christie Ward, Mayor of the Village of Lockbourne, has led significant revitalization efforts by strengthening the village’s operational foundation and fostering transparent communication between local government and residents. Her leadership has helped cultivate a more proactive council and administration.
She is committed to building a strong sense of community and enhancing the quality of life for residents. Christie actively promotes regional collaboration and works to advance initiatives that support long‑term growth and stability.
A consistent advocate for fairness and accountability, Christie leads by example—holding herself, the administration, and council to high standards. Her dedication has also encouraged others to pursue public service and contribute to the community’s progress.
Christie represents Lockbourne in multiple regional organizations, including the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), the LinkUS TSI Leadership and Infrastructure Committees, the MORPC Sustainable 2025 Committee and Regional Sustainability Roundtable, the Rickenbacker Stakeholder Advisory Committee, and the Central Ohio Defense Group. She also serves on the Ohio Board of Building Standards.
A Lockbourne native, Christie returned home after operating a small business in New York City. She later worked in Affinity Business Development at Nationwide Insurance, where she created a strategic program to support the law enforcement community.
She previously served on the Central Ohio Health Information Exchange (COHIE) Board, helping physicians adopt and effectively use electronic health records. Christie holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Christian University.
In her personal time, she enjoys hosting dinner gatherings for family and friends—despite jokingly referring to herself as a “gourmet chef” without formal culinary training.
